I am a military spouse and the mother of six amazing children. My husband and I have been married for eleven years as of Feb 2019, and we have relocated to several places during our time together, from Japan to California. I have owned three in-home daycare facilities since 2009, and I have worked with children for over fifteen years. I have been the proud Owner and Director of First Steps Learning Academy since 2015, which has been a wonderful experience (we have the most amazing families & incredible children)! I have had the pleasure of being the Lead Preschool Teacher for the VPK Program. My husband and I have also opened our home to several foster children and it is has brought us great joy providing a stable environment and a loving family to children in need.

 

I have a Bachelors in Business Management, Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, A Master in Early Childhood Education (Major: Educational Leadership).  I have completed a countless number of hours learning my trait over the years. I have successfully completed the requirements to obtain: A Staff Credential, Directors Credential, VPK Endorsement Credential, and a License from the Department of Children and Families to operate a childcare facility. Additionally, I have completed the 40hr. Mandatory DCF  training, Early Childhood Administration & Management (ECAM 291), Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification. I am on the Board of Directors for the Early Learning Coalition, I am the Provider Rep for Okaloosa & Walton County, and I am a member of the STEP program! I am contracted with the Early Learning Collation and School Readiness Program, to provide high quality childcare to the families in my care.
